Campaign advertisement for SLATE, the UC Berkeley student free-speech coalition. Recto states the substantial SLATE platform, touching not only on the FSM but also Educational Reform, Civil Rights, Sudent Welfare, etc. Verso with photographic portraits and personal statements of the seven SLATE candidates for the upcoming ASUC (Associated Students of the University of California) student election. These include Brian Turner, Dusty Miller, Tom Meyer, Shirley Arimoto, Gary Feller, Marston Schultz and Bob Nakamura. A rare survival from the early days of the Berkeley counterculture; not separately catalogued in OCLC.
