Strong, straight, and handsome, scuffing and bumping to corners and fore-edge with some pasteboard showing, some discoloration and spotting to the boards; internally clean and fresh, marbled endpapers, armorial bookplate of aristocratic collector Daniel Brent to front pastedown, half title present, old dampstain to corners of p.1-10 not interfering with text, p. 341 and 475 mispaginated as 41 and 47 respectively, and a fingernail sized corner of loss to page 497. A very good, handsome and robust copy of the revised edition of possibly one of the most celebrated road trips in literary history.
