MILLER, Henry and Alfred Perlès

What Are You Going To Do About Alf? [Alfred Perlès Personal Copy]

London: Turret Books, 1971. First Thus. From the regular edition of 250 copies; this copy inscribed in Perlès' hand on half title: "Personal Copy / Alfred Perlès." Large octavo. Full black cloth; dustjacket; unpaginated [48pp]. A fine, apparently unread copy. In the original dustwrapper, reproducing a painting by Miller; Fine. Note: Shifreen & Jackson state that the regular and signed editions share identical bindings and dimensions. We note that the present copy is in a different binding (full black cloth versus black cloth backed with tan buckram), and slightly smaller - 2mm shorter and 2mm less wide.

A color photo-facsimile of the original pamphlet, issued by Bern Porter in 1938 and reproduced here in its entirety, with the addition of s a 3-pp preface by Miller and a 3-pp Epilogue by Perlès, both dated 1968. Presumably one of just a few authors' copies. SHIFREEN & JACKSON A10f.
