Octavo (26cm); brown calf boards, with titling stamped in gilt on spine, and ruling stamped in gilt on covers; top edge gilt; fore- and lower- edges untrimmed; slipcase with chemise; poem printed on recto only; unpaginated; plate illlustrations to frontispiece and throughout. Title page is signed in pencil by Arthur N. MacDonald, and plate illustrations throughout are signed in pencil by W.H.W. Bicknell. Light shelf-wear, with heavy soil to covers; Good. Publisher's slipcase has modest shelf-wear; Very Good. Publisher's chemise has light shelf-wear; Very Good+.

This edition of Gray's poem (1751) is engraved by MacDonald with copper plates to title page and text, and includes Bicknell's plate illustrations as designed by him. All copper plates destroyed after publication. [89108].
