A Complete Course of Lessons in Hypnotism; Introdcution, What is Hypnotism?
Bridgeport, CT: Fairfield County Hypnotic Institute, 1946. First Edition. Quarto. Black card spring binder containing collected course material, original ochre card covers retained within. [c.120pp.] Binder strong and solid, some rusting to spring binding; internally clean and fresh, light soiling in places, applied "W.C. Weber" label to front inner cover. A very good, clean example.
A complete course in 10 lesson segments with supplementary material and "Questions and Answers." The course material covers "The neural and Psychological Foundation" of hypnotism in great detail, and then moves on to practical uses and the all important "Dangers Due to Misuse" (which one suspects was the part everyone was interested in). A nicely packaged correspondence course in hypnotism from the later President of the Association to Advance Ethical Hypnosis, one the earlier organisations devoted to the legitimisation of hypnosis as a clinical method rather than a vaudeville entertainment.
