A future dystopia, in which nearly the entire human race is instantly eradicated by a super-weapon. Three lone survivors find each other, two men and a young woman; a battle ensues that will determine the future regeneration of the human race. The best man wins. The novel is considered one of the earliest uses in fiction of the "doomsday weapon" device, which would become a popular trope for science fiction writers in the Nuclear Age. Unexpectedly uncommon, especially in dustwrapper. BLEILER (1979) p.149; REGINALD 10867a. Oddly ommitted from Sargent, Negley, and Lewis.

Price: $150.00
