Graduate of Tuskegee Institue, and later head of their photography department, shares this collection of photographs of African American subjects in Tuskegee, Alabama from 1929-1958. Concludes with Pearl's essay focused on Polk and the impact of his works, and an index of photographs with dates and individuals' names. This copy inscribed by the artist to renown Trinidadian-American actor, dancer, and musician, Geoffrey Holder. [88188].
