A charming account of his world travels by Frank Hedges Butler (1855-1928), a wine merchant and intrepid traveller, the founder of the Aero Club of Great Britain in 1901 and a pioneering automobilist who purchased one of the first production motorcars in England (a Benz "Motor Velocipede") in 1897. The inscribee is Eric Dillon, 19th Viscount Dillon, an officer in the British Army in WW1 and recipient of the DSO and the Belgian Croix de Guerre.
