Ancient Carpenter's Tools
Pennsylvania: Horizon Press for The Bucks County Historical Society, 1975. Stated Fifth Edition. Octavo. 24cm. Publisher's deep burgundy cloth titled in gilt to spine. Dustjacket. [xii]; 339pp. Strong and tight with oly the lightest of wear to the edges and extremities of the cloth; internally clean, bookplate to front pastedown; in a bright, strong example of the dustjacket with some light wear and scuffing to extremities and spine ends. A very good clean copy indeed.
From the library of Nathaniel Tarn, noted poet, translator, and anthropologist, with his bookplate. Like Tarn, Mercer was something of a scholarly authority on Mesoamerican and US archaeology, which undoubtedly accounts for the bibliophilic asssociation. A much reprinted and celebrated resource of practical history and archaeology.
