A very good copy indeed.

An analysis of Soviet methodologies of control compiled from the 200,000 pages of the Smolensk Archive, captured and stored firstly by the Nazis in 1941, and then captured once more by the US, to form the backbone of early post-WW2 research into Soviet social, military, and economic systems. Initially presented by RAND, a research and development wing ("R and D") of the USAAF, instituted immediately after WW2, devoted to the development of future weaponry and intercontinental warfare. RAND was later expanded into civilian fields and became the RAND Corporation with an increased interest in propaganda, education research, and international affairs.
