A somewhat involved visual polemic against the Liberal government of Prime Minister H.H. Asquith – scheming Socialists and Progressives have lit a beacon, attempting to draw the ship of responsible "Municipal Reform" off-course and against the rocky husks of earlier wrecks they've engineered. Edward Huskinson, long-time editor of The Tattler, was a popular and prolific Conservative cartoonist of the period.
