Top edge gilt. 197pp. Clean and bright, a very handsome copy with little to no external wear. Internally clean with some very light occasional spotting, marbled endpapers (with original pictorial endpapers retained in the prelims, and the original decorated cloth retained to the rear of the book). A very attractively rebound copy of the perennially popular Andersen's Fairy Tales, illustrated throughout by Kay Nielsen, with 12 tipped in colour plates protected by captioned tissue guards, some with trifling spotting. Includes The Snow Queen, The Nightingale, and The Hardy Tin Soldier among other stories.
