A durable and presentable copy of a book normally seen in heavily used condition. Internally clean, the coated paper stock of the prelims and photographic reference section differs wildly from the paper in use for the main text block which has toned uniformly throughout. An exhaustive (for the time) resource of mediums, psychics, trance techniques, historical aspects of spiritualism and the occult sciences, and more than 50 pages of photographs of mediums at work, ectoplasmic generation, table rapping, and portraits of notable personalities in the field. With a preface by Oliver Lodge, the entire exploit compiled by the tireless and eccentric Nandor Fodor, a Hungarian psychic investigator who for many years was extremely prominent in British psychic and spiritualist circles, and is perhaps now best remembered for his investigation of one of the strangest of all parapsychological mysteries; Gef The Talking Mongoose.
