Small octavo; tan cloth, with titles in black and brown on spine and front cover; brown top-stain; 313pp. A tight, Near Fine copy, lacking the dustwrapper.
Collection of tales set in the Pacific Northwest, by this little-remembered but once highly regarded writer whose experiences as a Northwest hobo, logger, and Wobbly figure into many of his stories. The inscription is to David Grew (1887-1971), American author of western and juvenile novels, most set in Canada and with horses as their main characters (Beyond Rope and Fence, 1922; The Ghost Mare, 1949; etc).
