German collection of folktales, with the original 1878 dust jacket and protective box, in an unusual state of preservation. A printed note on the box with the title also states "Ohne diese enveloppe wird kein exemplar zurückgenommen!"--i.e., "No copy will be taken back without this envelope!" In fact, the Buchhandlung des Waisenhauses (Orphanage Bookshop) is still in operation and is one of the oldest bookstores in Germany, having been established in 1698.
