With a duplicate of one illustration ("Fonni") laid down on front free endpaper. Straight and sound, rubbed with short tear to headcap, hinges cracked, some scatttered foxing: Good.

A brief excursion undertaken in January 1921 by Lawrence and his wife Frieda, a.k.a. Queen Bee, from Taormina in Sicily to the interior of Sardinia. The first American edition was published in 1921 (see ROBERTS A20).
