Cloth-backed patterned boards with printed paper spine and cover labels; 48pp. Mild external wear; usual darkening to endpapers from bider's adhesive, still a tight, solidly Very Good copy. In a later cloth slipcase, fine.

Conrad's play originally appeared in The English Review, August, 1913. The first separate edition was privately printed by Clement Shorter in 1917, in an edition of only 25 copies. This, the first "commercial" edition, was the sixth book of the Beaumont Press. EHRSAM 2221.
