In the original dustwrapper, all four corners clipped by publisher but original price remaining at base of front flap (6s. net); a shade toned on spine panel, with a few spots of foxing and soil to rear panel; Very Good.

Quite decent copy of the somewhat elusive first impression, which consisted of only 2,000 copies. The authors were still in the process of revising the play for production when the first impression went to print; later printings, as well as the American edition (published in 1937), incorporate a substantially different version of the text.
