Laid in is a memo from Galen Williams, Director of the Poetry Center at the 92nd Street "Y", expressing his lack of enthusiasm for the book: "I would not object strongly [to Walker reading at the Poetry Center] but his diffusion and removal from what's going on make me far from excited."
