[N.p.; ca 1888]. First separate edition; originally published as an article in Bedford's Magazine for June, 1888. Octavo leaflet (19cm); 8pp, on newsprint. Lightly toned, with wear at margins; two small stab-holes for binding at bulked edge; Very Good.

A Henry George rarity, urging workingmen to vote in their own self-interest against protective tariffs, which he argues serve only to further enrich the capitalist class by artificially inflating consumer prices while creating no meaningful increase in wages. This is essentially a distillation of George's 1886 work Protection and Free Trade, probably written to support his endorsement of Grover Cleveland in the 1888 Presidential campaign. Not separately catalogued in OCLC.
