Les Roses, produced under the patronage of Empress Josephine, is simultaneously a scientific compendium and a work of art. This edition is a "complete facsimile reprint of the three folio volumes of the original" edition (printed by Didot from 1817-1824), with a fourth volume of biographies, bibliographies, commentaries, and an English translation of the original French text.
