Trade edition of this collaborative work between two prominent Chicanas, incorporating Cantú's poetry with Sánchez's artwork and based on the women's mutual experiences living near train yards at various points of their lives. In a broader sense, the portfolio approaches the significance of both trains and train yards to the migration of Mexican immigrants as well as their centrality in Mexican-American labor. Transcendental Train Yards was first produced in 2008 as a limited edition artist's portfolio, in an edition of 50 copies.
