II: [viii], 309, [1]pp; with 40 full-page wood engravings by Marcus Stone (20 in each volume). Tight, fresh copies with only gentle shelf wear to bindings, internally clean: Very Good or better.

The slip concerning the title of the novel usually inserted at p. [1] is here inserted at p.84, where the phrase "Our Mutual Friend" first appears in the text. Without publisher's catalogues, which according to Smith are not uniformly present in copies of the first bound edition. With bookseller's ticket "A. B.
