An American collection of twelve short stories, collected in the UK as The Gully of Bluemansdyke. The first American edition of this collection was published in 1893; the publisher's address supplied here, "310-318 Sixth Avenue," is often stated to date to 1897 (see Green & Gibson p.604). However, Lovell, Coryell used the Sixth Avenue address in advertisements as early as 1894 (see The Sun of 23 Jun 1894 and the New-York Tribune of 7 Dec 1895). After 1897 the company was subsumed by the American Publisher's Corporation. Reprint of GREEN & GIBSON A4c.
