Publisher's blue grained cloth, elaborately decorated in gilt and blind; mustard coated endpapers; double frontispiece; all edges gilt; i-xvi,[17]-244pp + 16pp publisher's catalog at rear ("Macmillan And Co.'s List of Works Adapted for Christmas Presents"). Shallow losses to cloth at spine ends; joints and board edges slightly rubbed, with hairline split to cloth at upper 1" of rear joint; hinges mildly stressed but holding tight. A solid, internally clean copy, about Very Good.
