Mid-career collection by this little-known but highly respected British lyric poet, who lived much of his life as an expatriate in Italy. Nicely inscribed to Russell's near-contemporary Noam Chomsky, though the circumstances of their meeting (or whether the book ever in fact resided in Chomsky's library) are unclear.
