A call for a return to a more fundamental incarnation of the A.M.E. Church. The author was manager of the A.M.E. Book Concern and author of several books on Methodist theology and African-American culture, all of them scarce. This copy inscribed to Rev. William Craven, an A.M.E. minister of Charles Town, West Virginia.
