The Mole - Vol.2, No.3 (January, 1971)

Boston: The Old Mole, [1971]. First Edition. Tabloid (44.75cm); pictorial newsprint wrappers; 32pp; illus. Light wear and dustiness to wrappers, with original recipient's address label and small postage rubber-stamp to front cover; Very Good+ or better, unfolded.

Third issue of the successor publication to Old Mole, which published fewer than 10 issues during its short-lived existence between late 1970 - early 1971. In their editorial statement in Vol.2, No.1, they note: "This is the first issue of the Mole since September. The staff has used the past two months to evaluate and reconstitute the paper...We can't as yet express a thorough, unified idea of our aspirations for the new Mole. We reflect, perhaps, the diversity which we perceive in the movement at large. This has been called the Year of Ten Thousand Collectives. The movement is fragmented, decentralized and uncertain of what to do. We don't know the solutions to the problems but they can be solved and we want the Mole to help" (p.4).
