Contents devoted chiefly to criticizing talk of secession in South Carolina, noting that "it will be proper to exhibit to our readers proof that DISUNION, consequent disgrace to our country, and demolition of all the hopes which humanity has founded upon the success of a Confederate Republic like that of the United States, are in the contemplation of the Councils of SOUTH CAROLINA" (p. 11).
