A Refutation of Certain Calumnies Published in a Pamphlet, Entitled "Correspondence Between Mr. Granville Sharp Pattison and Dr. Nathaniel Chapman"
Baltimore: J. Robinson, 1820. First Edition. Octavo (23cm.); removed; 64pp. Exceedingly chipped and brittle, first three leaves separated but present, general dust-soil and light spotting. Fair to Good at best.
One of several nasty pamphlet wars in which the Scottish-born physician embroiled himself, this leading to his arrest for calling Chapman "a liar, a coward, and a scoundrel," though perhaps a less serious offence than his arrest six years previously in Scotland, for grave robbing (anb.org). AUSTIN 1466; SABIN 59154; SHOEMAKER 2669.
