Advertising circular for Twelvetree's secret washing material which "REQUIRES no rubbing, no machine, and no previous knowledge, no extra washing utensils, and may be used by a person of the meanest capacity" (p. [1]). Testimonials boast the "London Times," "The Mother's Magazine," and Maria Gaspard, Chief Laundress in the House of Her Majesty, Queen Victoria: "after considerable hesitation your plan of washing was tested on some articles of Her Majesty's clothing, the result was most satisfactory. The process and specimens of the washing have been submitted to Her Majesty, and meet her decided approval" (p. [2]). OCLC locates two copies as of March, 2020, at the AAS and U. Michigan.
