This book contains 33 Jewish poems, translated into English from the original Hebrew by Nina Davis. These poems mostly date to the 9th to 12th centuries; several are by Jehudah Halevi, a Spanish-Jewish physician and philosopher who wrote hundreds of poems (secular and religious), and who is still considered one of the greatest Jewish poets.
