Virginia Hersch (born Helen Virginia Davis) published several books, including some fictionalized biographies. Unfortunately, her writing usually garnered mixed reviews, and her historical novel Storm Beach was no exception. However, this work does garner some curiosity as it explores the tribulations of Spanish-Jewish family living in Charleston in the aftermath of the War of 1812.
