Textblock edges scratched and soiled; smudging intermittent throughout interior; pages toned but sound. Very Good overall.

A lower-cost, Depression-era reprint of Warwick Deeping's sentimental story of a single father who raises his son into a fine gentleman doctor. Originally published in 1926, this Madison Square Books version contains advertisments for books first published in the 1930s (e.g., Alice Tisdale Hobart's Oil for the Lamps of China).
