While not much biographical information is readily available about Mrs. Harriet Drummond, it can be gleaned that she was the wife of Rev. David Thomas Kerr Drummond, minister of an Episcopal church in Edinburgh. Mrs. Drummond wrote several religious tracts for young readers, including Lucy Seymour (c. 1847), which concerns the religious awakening of a selfish little girl (incidentally named Harriet). She also collaborated with her husband and edited some of his works.
