Boards a bit scuffed with brief exposure at corners, leather somewhat dried, else Very Good and sound. School prize copy with contemporary (1884) presentation bookplate printed in Latin and accomplished in manuscript; with additional later (1927) gift inscription to engraved title page verso. Guide to the pilgrimages of Switzerland by the conservative Catholic journalist and promoter of Papal supremacy, first published in 1839.
