New York: The Floating Bear, 1962. First Edition. Quarto (28cm.); side-stapled mimeographed self-wrappers; pp. Previous mail folds, extremities rather heavily toned, small old tape remnants to top and bottom edges of upper cover, else Very Good, internally fine. Postally addressed to Denise Levertov at her Greenwich Street address. Two brief pencil marginalia, possibly in Levertov's hand, written in response to the contributions by fellow Black Mountain poet Ed Dorn: In response to the lines "...Once I returned late summer / from California thin from journeying / and the girls were not the same. / You'll say that's natural" (from the poem "In my youth I was a tireless dancer)" the reader has circled "natural" and written "not true."
