Spanish-language version of a poster demanding justice for the San Quentin Six, accused of killing three guards and two prisoners following an escape attempt, though the text of the poster argues that the accusation was simply a cover-up for the murder of prisoner George Jackson at the hands of the prison guards. The trial, which lasted sixteen months, was at the time the longest in the state, and resulted in the conviction of Johnny Spain for murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The poster, attributed to the artist Jane Noring by the Oakland Museum of California, depicts portraits of the Six in the fore-ground, behind them a prison wall has been broken through by a crowd of other prisoners, some of them with their fists raised. Exceedingly scarce: no others available in commerce or in auction records as of September, 2019; none separately catalogued in OCLC, though we do find a copy at the OMCA.
