[New York]: Coalition for Direct Action, . Uncommon Peg Averill design, promoting the 1980 anti-nuclear demonstrations held in conjunction with the Democratic National Convention in New York City. The event featured a march from Central Park to Madison Square Garden, followed by a rally and a "Die In" in front of the convention center. OMCA has a variant printed in pink and with a gay rights message on verso (our copy is blank on verso and printed in red ink). Opposition to nuclear energy and weaponry was a strong theme for Democrats in 1980, as the Three Mile Island event had taken place the previous year. Original screen-printed poster, 14-1/2" x 10" (ca 35cm x 24cm), in two colors on yellow uncoated stock. Light edgewear; a few spots of uneven printing; Very Good.
