Early-ish conference inspired by the Human Relations movement of the early 1930s. The event was co-organized by the UAW and the University's Institute of Labor with "emphasis...placed on some of the psychological factors involved in dealing with people. In a sense, therefore, it was a new and experimental approach to the problems of union representatives" (from the foreword--text by Ross Stagner, a professional psychologist). Latter portion of the conference devoted primarily to problem solving, role-playing, interviewing, and behavior. Two copies of this title located in OCLC as of December, 2018, at Cornell and U. Illinois.
