Mexico City: Ediciones Botas, 1935. First Edition. Octavo. Pictorial paper wrappers; 383pp; illus. Ownership stamp of an "A.F. Borja / Escondido, Calif" at bottom edge of front free endpaper; mild edgewear; a bright, Very Good or better copy in the original color pictorial wrappers. Text entirely in Spanish.
Issued contemporaneously (and uniformly) with the author's two-volume memoir Con Carranza. Gonzalez was Carranza's commander of forces in the Northeast and led the attack on Villa and Zapata, with whom Carranza had split following the Convention of Aguascalientes. This is a substantial (if biased) memoir of the post-Aguascalientes revolutionary period, illustrated throughout with halftone photographic reproductions.
