Designed by the prolific Surrealist Czech designer Frantisek Muzika (1900-1974), the art director of Aventinum from 1927 until the publisher's folding in 1934, during which period he would provide the designs for nearly one hundred titles (see Jindrich Toman, Foto-Montáž Tiskem / Photo-Montage in Print (2009), p. 196).
