Los Angeles: Liberation Union, [ca.1970]. Flyer produced by the Los Angeles-based Liberation Union, drawing attention to the plight of Chairman Bobby Seale, who was on trial in 1970 for charges of conspiracy and inciting riot during the 1968 Democratic National Convention. Prominently displayed are illustrations of a bound and gagged Seale by "B. Jones", and the widely-used Emory Douglas image of Seale strapped to the electric chair, beside a lengthy quote by Eldridge Cleaver. Uncommon. Original illustrated flyer, offset printed in black on white stock, measuring 8.5" x 11". Old folds smoothed out, moderate, uneven toning, with shallow loss along lower left margin; just Very Good.
