Three octavo volumes (23cm), bound in green, blue and red half-morocco over gilt-decorated vellum boards by Newman & Son of Dublin; 405+395+515pp. Top edges gilt; marbled endpapers; integral ribbon book-marks. A very fine set, free of markings or wear. This was the first collected edition of Johnston's plays, published just a few years before his death in 1984. Volumes 1 & 2 include works for the stage; Volume 3 includes Johnston's work for radio and television. Necessarily scarce, with only one copy recorded in commerce in the past 25 years.
