Octavo (19.25cm.); publisher's cloth in pictorial silver foil dust jacket printed in black; [6],285pp. Some general shelf wear to jacket extremities, a few tiny chips and closed tears, some minor scratching to rear panel, else Near Fine in a Very Good example of the uncommon dust jacket. Publication date on title page is 1932, though the letter code on copyright indicates this was printed in December, 1931. Novel by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author, describing the hours leading up to a man's execution, and the prison warden and his wife's uncertainty of the man's guilt.
