Dustjacket is lightly edgeworn and gently spine-sunned, with some dustiness to panels, a few small chips to upper edge, several tears, and a few small moisture stains to spine; Very Good.
Second volume featuring Lagerlöf's best-known character, Nils Holgersson, "whose chief delight was to eat and sleep, and after that he liked best to make mischief." This, together with its predecessor The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, would become Lagerlöf's most popular and enduring work. Lagerlöf was the first female author and first Swede to win the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1909. Scarce in dustjacket.
