A wholesome tale of redemption, but filled of course with salacious tidbits to boost sales; illustrated with halftone text illustrations of the scenes of Garland's various crimes and incarcerations, as well as an anatomical portrait demonstrating Garland's changed physique after "...the surgeon went in three times to break off the ten ribs from my left side."
