Black cloth boards, lettered in red on spine and front cover; original patterened glassine dustwrapper (unprinted); [40]pp; 2 inserted leaves of plates (reproducing lithographs by Orózco. Upper board edges slightly sunned, else a tight, Near Fine copy in the scarce publisher's spiderweb glassine, chipped along upper edge and with a few other small losses along extremities; Very Good.
Herron was a prolific contributor of stories to such mainstream publications as Collier's, Harper's, Life, etc, and had two stories adapted for film ("Shoes", 1916; and "The Double Room Mystery" 1917); this uncommon little volume of proletarian verse appears have been her only foray into radical literature. Rarely found in the glassine jacket, and a somewhat obscure appearance for Orózco, whose life-long patron Alma Reed was also proprietor and publisher of Delphic Studios.
