Blue cloth boards, lettered in silver in spine and front cover; dustjacket; 305pp. Bit of age-fading to cloth; blue top-stain slightly faded; still a tight, VG copy in the exceedingly uncommon Art Deco dustwrapper, lightly worn at extremities and flap-folds, including ca 1/8" loss at crown of spine, just into lettering of title; still Very Good. Engraved bookplate of a John Gammie inside front cover.

Psychological thriller set on the high seas. Legras/Herm (1882-1948) was a French-Swiss germanophone writer who specialized in maritime disaster novels. The terrific dustwrapper art is sadly unattributed.
