[Paris: 1968]. One of the most popular images of the May 1968 Paris student protests, depicting the head of a presumed student, bandaged and silenced with a safety pin, only his eyes remaining unobscured. The text and image were appropriated in at least half a dozen iterations, artists unknown. See Johan Kugelberg and Philippe Vermès, Beauty Is in the Street: A Visual Record of the May '68 Paris Uprising (2011), pp. 71 & 251. Original poster (57.5x37.75cm.) printed offset in red on white stock; previous mail folds, else a Near Fine, exceedingly fresh copy.
